On September 18, 2019, the 7th China Foundry Industry Organization Development Forum and the 32nd National Foundry Industry Organization Secretary-General Working Conference organized by the China Foundry Association went out of the country for the first time, as scheduled in the MR224 meeting room of Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Center, Thailand. At the meeting, nearly 40 people from the local founding associations and representatives of the founding associations attended the meeting. Zhang Zhiyong, executive vice president and secretary general of China Foundry Association, presided over the meeting.

 

 

      In order to take advantage of the country’s “Belt and Road” initiative, with the rapid development of the “Eastern Economic Corridor”, the annual local secretary-general meeting organized by the China Foundry Association was held in Thailand, with the aim of continuously promoting Chinese casting, especially China's foundry industry has gone deep into Thailand, understands the foundry market in Southeast Asian countries, promotes project cooperation, and gradually extends the content of industry work to the international market, helping the globalization of China's foundry.

 

      At the meeting, the delegates first listened to the “Analysis of the Economic and Trade Situation of Thailand and Southeast Asia” by Mr. Achana Limp aitoon, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. The report carefully explained the economic situation and investment promotion policies of Thailand and neighboring countries. The members have benefited a lot. Subsequently, Zhang Zhiyong, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Casting Association, introduced the continuation of the industrial policy after the cancellation of the “Announcement Management of the Foundry Industry of the Foundry Industry”, namely, the publicity and implementation of the “Standards for Foundry Enterprise Standards” and the China Casting Association. With the strategic cooperation programs of local associations, the participating members then exchanged ideas and put forward good opinions and suggestions around the work involved in the development of the industry, and then objectively and effectively sought new ideas for the development of the industry.

 

 

      Nowadays, the international political and economic situation is particularly complicated. The trade frictions provoked by the United States continue to heat up. As the mainstay of the national economy and the manufacturing industry of the Chinese economy, the pressure is the first to bear the brunt. The Chinese foundry industry, which is the basis of the equipment manufacturing industry, still has deep Domestically, in the first half of 2019, the added value of the national machinery industry remained low, the production and sales of major products in the whole industry fluctuated, the growth rate of fixed asset investment slowed down, the import and export trade operated at a low level, and the efficiency of enterprises declined. It can be seen that there are still many contradictions in the development of the foundry industry, and there are also problems of unbalanced development and insufficient development. The task of transformation and upgrading is still arduous.

 

 

      In his summary speech, President Zhang Libo of China Foundry Association pointed out: As a foundry industry organization, we should recognize the situation, borrow the platform of overseas industry work system, lead enterprises to go global, inject new impetus into the development of the industry, and seek and try new cooperation and Development mode; it is necessary to seize the opportunity of government management and reform, and boldly embark on the front line of industry management services. According to the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to promote the reform of “distribution service”, better use of social forces in management affairs.       The China Foundry Association’s first overseas self-organized exhibition “2019 Thailand International Foundry Metallurgy Exhibition” was grandly opened on the morning of the same day. This is the exploration and innovation of the China Construction Association’s work in the industry; the local secretary-general meeting went abroad and entered Thailand. It is also the attempt to implement the “One Belt and One Road” in the foundry industry, and the continuous exploration and effective practice of globalization. For a long time, the China Foundry Association and local associations have maintained a good relationship. The local foundry industry organizations will also take this meeting as an opportunity to go to the place to think about it, to find a business opportunity, and to build a platform together.
